The House

Old Hooky, despite its age, is a fully modernized home. It’s fifteen hundred square feet house two bedrooms, a full kitchen and a three quarter bath, a comfy dining-living room space, and a wood deck to enjoy the out of doors on. The massive stone walls moderate our hottest summer days and coldest winter nights, and an energy efficient thermal pump ensures comfort with only minimal use of either the air conditioner or furnace. The refurbished wooden floors of the house’s original structure adds to Old Hooky’s charm and coziness.

The Property

Adventurers outside can enjoy strolls along a spring fed creek, over both native grass land and boulder strewn hills Mother Nature crafted from glacial till over half a million years ago, and under walnut, oak and sycamore trees. Wildlife to be spotted on the land include white tail deer, bobcats, coyote, turkeys, raccoons, opossums, and all manner of birds.
